Dahab has not only good diving sites but it also have excellent places to climb (Desert Divers has the only climbing instructor) and there are routes near Dahab, and further, in St Katherine mountain. So the best thing is to go for a beginner climbing and stay there overnigth: bedouin tea, bedouin food (papillote chicken) cooked over a fire of rocks and acacia branches.
Vegetation is scarce there with spiky trees and plants but beautiful colors, sky, and canyons washed by the seasonnal rains...and the quietest place in the word.
Sleeping is on your napsack by the fire because the weather is so dry you don`t really need a shelter, and you spend the night falling asleep counting the falling stars and satellites...
