It is a windy day but sunny and not so cold...but still too cold to go up the Sinai. I`m starting to get used to the cars beeping, the dusty wind, the dry weather and no sweat, the salty rinsing water, the natural recycling (goats everywhere lurching into containers and dust bins), but all the plastic and cans go to the Red Sea...
The house is alright and my flatmate (the mouse) is getting more and more audacious and now come near me to one meter while I am eating on the floor couch (but no way to get it with the cage trap because he is too small..). I think I will buy a cheap bicycle and resell it at the end because I have to cover 2 or 3 km each day and my arabic classroom is quite far from my place. Also I have to buy my BCD and regulator (for breathing otherwise it would be more expensive to rent).
The job is not so attractive and quiet as before since I have to seat at the counter for 10 hours and take care of the rental bikes. Also, the bedouins divemaster don`t know what communication is and I have to chase them to fill all the many forms and files everyday, and tiding the center up (they are 2 cleaning boys but they are most of the day seating in the back and drinking tea...).
I`m trying to know the cheapest joints to eat (prices can double depending of the place) and also fruits like goyava, banana, orange, strawberry, apple are cheap here whereas mango, avocado, grenade are quite expensive (probably coming from Africa and Syria), and to find some gluten free dessert such as fresh rice pudding (almost eat everyday), coconut and honey cake, and halawa (sesame paste and pistachio from Syria).
Next time I hope to be able to talk more about Diving, and also I have to go extend my Visa to Al-Tur, at the other side of the Sinai...
